What Miami surgery specials leave out

Some specials are a real discount on a defined package. Others are a starting price, with most of the bill somewhere else. Here's how to read any Miami surgery promotion before you pay a deposit, with live examples across procedures.

At a glance

Live Miami surgery specials we found on October 15, 2026 included breast surgery from "from $2,800" to $7,500, mommy makeovers from $5,300 to $10,500, BBL from $3,499 to $6,000, lipo from $2,800 to $5,000 and tummy tucks from $3,000 to $6,500. Only one stated an exact end date, most didn't state refund terms, and several were "starting at" prices. ASPS national average surgeon's fees (before anesthesia and facility) include $4,875 for breast augmentation and $7,264 for a BBL.

Key facts
  • ASPS national average surgeon's fees (excluding anesthesia and facility): breast augmentation $4,875; tummy tuck $8,174; BBL (buttock augmentation with fat grafting) $7,264.
  • Florida Statutes § 458.328 (office-based BBL): the surgeon must examine you in person by the day before, personally remove and inject the fat, inject only above the muscle under ultrasound guidance, and care for one patient at a time.
  • The FDA says injectable silicone for body contouring is illegal and dangerous, and it hasn't approved any dermal filler for buttock augmentation.
  • The federal Fair Credit Billing Act lets you dispute credit card charges for services not delivered as agreed.

Real advertised prices: what practices post

Live specials we found on October 15, 2026 covered breast surgery, mommy makeovers, BBL, lipo, tummy tucks and more. BBL specials alone ranged from $3,500 to $6,000; regular BBL price pages ran from "starting at $5,500" to "from $9,000" for a BBL with lipo 360. What each price includes varies even more than the number. The table below shows BBL examples in detail; for every procedure in one place, see this week’s Miami deals. These examples aren't a ranking or a recommendation, and we haven't checked the care at any practice. Check every surgeon and facility with the 15-minute check.

What do Miami surgery specials usually exclude?

The same gaps show up on breast, mommy makeover, BBL, lipo and tummy tuck promotions: often anesthesia or facility fees, extra lipo areas, labs, garments, recovery care and complications. Go through the quote line by line, and mark anything missing as "unknown," not "zero."

  • Anesthesia and facility: and who provides the anesthesia.
  • Lipo areas: how many are included, and the price per extra area. "Lipo 360" varies by practice.
  • Add-ons: skin-tightening devices, "HD" lipo, and "free" areas with conditions attached.
  • BMI or weight fees: see BMI limits.
  • Pre-op labs, EKG and clearance: explicitly excluded in one practice's 2025 promotion terms. See labs and clearance.
  • Garments: stage 1 may be included while stage 2 isn't. See faja stages.
  • Massages, recovery stays and rides: see Miami recovery house prices.
  • Complications: ask who pays for a return to the operating room. Most health plans don't cover cosmetic surgery or, often, its complications.
Ask your surgeon

"Who will actually operate on me, and where?" A special doesn't change Florida's safety rules. For an office-based BBL, Florida law also requires the surgeon to personally remove and inject the fat under ultrasound guidance.

Are surgery deposits refundable?

Often not, so read the terms before you pay. None of the live specials we found on October 15, 2026 stated their refund terms. The one past promotion whose terms we read called deposits of $500–$1,000 "strictly non-refundable." Deposits shown on live specials pages ran from $250 to $500.

  • Ask what happens if your labs delay you, the practice moves your date, or your surgeon is unavailable.
  • Deadlines are pressure. "Lock in the price" before a consultation is a reason to slow down. One promotion required full payment two weeks before surgery.
  • Pay with a card you can dispute. Cash, wire transfers and payment apps rarely give you that protection.
  • Get the surgical contract, not just the flyer.

What is a skinny or petite BBL, and how much does it cost in Miami?

A skinny, mini or petite BBL is a marketing term, not a medical category. It means a BBL in a slimmer patient, focused on shape rather than volume. We found no Miami practice publishing a separate skinny-BBL price, so ask whether it's priced as a standard BBL. ASPS describes the skinny BBL as "sculpting and shaping with targeted fat grafts." An ASPS member surgeon in that article says that patients with a BMI under about 22–23 were once turned away, and that the focus has since shifted toward shape.

Questions to ask:

  1. Do I have enough donor fat for the shape I want, and from which areas?
  2. What result is realistic for my frame?
  3. Is this priced as a standard BBL? What's included?
  4. If you suggest a processed donor-fat product, what are the cost, evidence and risks? One Miami price list showed one for the buttocks at $19,500–$23,500.
  5. If I want more later, when could a second procedure be considered?

Do skinny BBL results last?

Some of the result is permanent, but no one can promise how much. Some transferred fat doesn't survive in any BBL, and the amount varies. In one small study of 21 patients measured at three months or more, the author estimated that about two-thirds of the injected fat remained. With less donor fat to work with, a slim patient may see a subtler change. See BBL recovery.

Ask your surgeon

"Based on my exam, would you recommend a BBL at all?" A good answer can be "not yet" or "not for you." See BBL, lipo or tummy tuck?.

Is a liquid or non-surgical BBL safe?

Not when it means injected silicone or fillers into the buttocks. The FDA warns that injectable silicone for body contouring is illegal and can cause serious injury and death, and it hasn't approved any dermal filler for buttock augmentation. See is a BBL safe in Miami?.
